“There are two important days in a woman's life: the day she is born and the day she finds out why.”
Terry Tempest Williams
Guiding our young and growing humans with ceremony through meaningful stages of their growing up time is just as long standing and important of a cultural element as any other of our larger and more commonly employed ceremonies.
I'm open to a range of involvement in collaborating on Rites of Passage ceremonies. These ceremonies require significant contribution from the kiddos parent or primary caregivers. Working with me would mean consulting to help contemplate and plan out elements, and you can decide if it is preferable or needed to include me being present to actualize the ceremony.
Rites of Passage ceremonies might be Baby Namings as we welcome a new human or , Rite of Competency offered to youth exhibiting concrete signals of readiness to take on more responsibilities generally in the range of 7-9 years old, or First Moon Ceremonies acknowledging and honoring our young women after they have started bleeding. Planning for any of these ceremonies might be best started months in advance.
I have a lot of ideas and I'm excited about anyone considering one of these Rites of Passage for the important young ones in their life.
Let's talk!
